Yahoo Answers For Computer Forensics Investigators
Question What benefits do computer forensics investigators receive?
I just need to know what sort of health benefits, dental plans, etc. they'd receive. Knowing for both someone employed in the private sector and by the government/public would be great. :) Thanks.
Best Answer You'd be working for a Governmental agency or a Private investigation service, either way your benefits would be the best. Total health and dental, plus a life insurance policy as you would be salaried. One months full vacation after 3 years. Pension Plan vested within 5 years of employment. You have a lot to look forward to!

Question what is like as a computer forensics investigator?
Basically my question is whether or not computer forensic investigators have to know ALL the terminology and concepts behind working with computers. (Because in my network forensics class, the computer speak just goes right over my head). Any other general information about working as an investigator would be helpful too. I would appreciate feedback from actual investigators.
Best Answer You basically have to know everything there is to know about data storage, and all the terminology that goes with it. Graphics cards rarely come up for forensic analysis. Hard drives and storage devices do.
