Yahoo Answers For Computer Network Forensics
Question Can a person with Carpal Tunnel syndrome work productively as Network computer Specialist /computer forensics?
Does work in Computer networking or computer forensics require so much use of keyboarding and typing ,or intricate work that it would be too physically demanding for someone with Carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands?
Best Answer Hi dsjnix, A person with Carpel Tunnel can work effectively as a Network Specialist. Contrary to popular belief the repeating actions required for use of a keyboard and mouse are not a major contributor to Carpal Tunnel. In fact, you can wear the Carpal Tunnel braces and still work effectively with a keyboard and / or a mouse. The actions that really aggravate Carpal Tunnel are any involving bending the hand downward and pinching the nerves in the bottom of the wrist. Norm

Question what is like as a computer forensics investigator?
Basically my question is whether or not computer forensic investigators have to know ALL the terminology and concepts behind working with computers. (Because in my network forensics class, the computer speak just goes right over my head). Any other general information about working as an investigator would be helpful too. I would appreciate feedback from actual investigators.
Best Answer You basically have to know everything there is to know about data storage, and all the terminology that goes with it. Graphics cards rarely come up for forensic analysis. Hard drives and storage devices do.
